Turning Point Brooklyn serves as a stepping stone for the
“at-potential” residents of Greater Brooklyn who’ve decided to seek
ways to improve their everyday lives
Through integrated housing, education, health and social service
programs, Turning Point Brooklyn provides the comprehensive
support and quality care
necessary for clients to take control and turn their lives around.
Our vision is to be an agent of support for all those seeking to build a
better Brooklyn. We do this by offering an integrated array of
comprehensive services designed to restore hope and human
dignity to individuals within the Sunset Park and Red Hook communities.
Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) and Turning Point officially aligned as Strategic Partners in January of 2018. BCS envisions ONE Brooklyn Community, where all members of the community can access an excellent education, job opportunities, safe and affordable housing, and quality and affordable health care and wellness programs. TPBK’s mission is very much like BCS’. BCS has worked to deepen connections to neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn. The opportunity to embrace the underserved communities of Sunset Park and Red Hook under the BCS umbrella reinforces their commitment to that mission. TPBK will continue to maintain its unique identity, its name and its own Board of Directors.
What began as a small effort to save a handful of young gang members from the streets of Brooklyn in the 1970s has grown to an organization that serves tens of thousands of people each year. See how it all began, and how far we’ve come.
Turning Point reaches tens of thousands of individuals a year throughout Brooklyn. Our programs and services designed to empower under-served, high-need individuals to overcome difficult circumstances and make positive changes in their lives.
