Outreach Services
TPBK provides a vital link to comprehensive services to people who are at high risk of HIV and Hepatitis-C, as well as those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
The Mobile Outreach van is equipped to basic medical services to locations throughout Brooklyn at night and on weekends.
Services include
- Free HIV test provided via Mobile throughout Brooklyn using Alere Determine using finger-stick whole blood, with results in 20 minutes
- Test confirmation and linkage to Primary Medical Care
- Presentations & workshops for community groups in Brooklyn on HIV prevention
- Referrals for drug and alcohol detox and rehab, emergency shelter, and transitional housing
- Assistance with Medicaid, AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), HASA applications and PrEP or nPEP
- HIV Navigation Services
- Walk-in Risk and Harm Reduction Counseling
- Expanded Syringe Access Voucher Program (Clean Needle Exchange)
