Angela is a New York state licensed LMSW who completed her graduate MSW at NYU. She has worked both in the US and overseas as a social worker mainly in the areas of youth development, chemical dependency, homelessness and disaster recovery. She currently works as the Division Director of Youth Services for BCS and lives in the Brooklyn Community.
Orlando Mendoza comes to us with more than 15 years of experience in field of behavioral health. Mr. Mendoza specializes in the realm of chronically homeless, serious and persistent mentally illness, and chronic substance addiction. Additionally, Mr. Mendoza possesses expertise in supportive/supported housing, outpatient mental health, addiction rehabilitation, and consumer advocacy. Mr. Mendoza holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from York College.
Iesha Moore was born and raised in Red Hook projects in Brooklyn New York. She has been a part of the Red Hook and Sunset Park community her entire life. She began her career at Turning Point in 1997, while completing an internship as part of the AmeriCorps Red Hook Public Safety Corps. She was later hired as a Case Manager Technician in our COBRA program.
Iesha has held several positions while at Turning Point, from Peer Educator, Outreach Coordinator, Counselor, and presently Director of Transitional Housing at our 39-bed transitional shelter for homeless women between the ages of 18 and 25. In this role, Iesha supervises a staff of over 20 full- and part-time workers, and helps young women find stable housing. Iesha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Medgar Evers College, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College of New York.
